Is it ok to wash your pets dish in the kitchen sink?

I was just called disgusting by my sister for washing my dogs bowl in the kitchen. Was told I should use the bathroom sink.

WTF? Where else would you wash it?

If you wipe out the sink afterwards, what's the problem? I'd be grossed out doing that in the bathroom sink. That's where I wash my face and brush my teeth.

I have heard that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's. I have no idea if that is a myth. If it is your sink I wouldn't concern myself with it.
Mguinm · 51-55, F
@SW-User I heard that also
Fernie · F
HA HA HAAAA! It was funny as hell before you changed bowel to bowl...shoulda left it. I wash my pets bowls with my own dishes...she should not have pets
@Fernie I missed that!
Fernie · F
@Itsmrsockmonkey she saw it too quickly. I think it was her and I who saw it
@Fernie I would've love it myself! Would have made my evening

When my wife and I had a small dog, she would give our dog a bath in the kitchen sink. We would just make sure we would scrub out the sink afterwards.

@happilymarriedguy they are family

@Fernie Yes they are!

Bathroom sink is where most people brush their teeth she seems to have it backwards when it comes to sanitation
Dogs are astronomically cleaner than humans. Your sister sounds like..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................and that's all I have to say about that.

mrmoose · 70-79, M
@SW-User i wouldn't want to eat off dirty dishes, or drink from dirty glasses, so she shouldn't have to either
SW-User

I wash pet bowls in the kitchen sink and throw them in the dishwasher every now and then
I clean my sink daily,also use bleach. I have no problem with that
shuhak · M
I put my cats bowls in the dishwasher 1-2 times a month.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M

Moonwitch · F

Kitchen sink is fine

Who gives a crap. I wash mine in the dishwasher to sterilize them. I wash them by themselves but I'm not drinking out of the faucet neither are my animals, except my horses but I have a filter in their water at the barn. Tell her to leave you alone.
goagainsttheflow · 26-30, F
I think that's gross too. I'd wash my cats' bowls with a wet wash cloth but I wouldn't rinse them in the sink. I didn't wan cat germs in there. But that was my opinion. Do what you want.
JTMarcus · 36-40, M
@goagainsttheflow Cats are a different issue. They are full of germs and cooties.
😂(just kidding)

@Moonwitch it's not as if the dogs poop or pee is in it ,it's just the food ...people are idiots
Fernie · F
I'll bet she won't let the dog up on the furniture either
Moonwitch · F
@Fernie exactly. I don't understand that logic. You know where they go when no one is home.
Fernie · F
@Moonwitch why do people like that even have animals when they are all "ewwww" about them??
Newandimproved · 61-69, M

@JTMarcus I use a paper towel to clean them, and clean the sink after.
