I Have a Dog
Mine is a yellow lab who is 11 years old now. He is like my child and has been with me since he was 3 month's old.
I still remember the day when I went to get him. There were 6 pups in an enclosure and all of them were cuddled up and sleeping. I liked one but was told he was already booked. So while I was having this conversation with the guy, one of the pups came and started playing with my shoe lace. That's how my pet chose me :)
He is old now and finding it increasingly difficult. Sleeps most of the time and goes for his daily walks and eats. That's all that he does. But I love him to death and it's reciprocal. The warmth and love we have is special. He might not be around for long but our time together will always be special :)
