I Have a Dog

My dog broke my heart. Arent animals especially dogs, supposed to be loving and loyal?

I will take you back to when I first got him 2 and a half years ago. I selected him because he was very playful and friendly. I needed a dog so badly for my emotional state, just really wanted to experience having love in my life for a change.

From the moment I got him he was a bundle of joy and I did everything I could for him and with him. I gave him so much attention, never missed a day without giving him affection.

What changed? He became spoiled and lazy. He doesnt come when I call him. He shows little concern or regard for me. He just lays in bed all day completely on the other side of the house. He is healthy, and somewhat young, but just not a companion. I feed him well, walk him everyday, give him treats, give him toys, talk to him, pet him,wrestle with him, but he just acts so independant.

Its so sad when I think about how much love I have for him,but he does not reciprocate.
