Good news, eveerryone

I met with the guy with the dog.

He said it's a hard decision for him, but he has seen me with my dog and knows I would be a stable home for him. I asked him how he feels about it, and he said he feels good.

He does need to give up the dog because his partner is afraid of the dog (she also hits the dog from what I have seen).

His birthday is Dec 2nd, which is so close to the time I had to say goodbye to Addie...

He does have his first round of shots, he's housetrained and he said he's really good. He is also crate-trained and loves his crate.

He's a little food aggressive (no problem, some dogs just are and you give them their space).

He is going home to talk to his partner about it, but will be in touch soon. I am going to make up a contract to make sure he doesn't come back for the dog, but because it's a conflict with his partner, I doubt he will.

But he lives close so it will be nice for him to still be able to say hi to Tommy (the dog).

He didn't bring him to the meeting, so I don't have pictures, but soon!

It's great he already has his crate and everything, and seems eager for him to go to a good home.

I am excited! I'm pleasantly surprised that he has been to the vet, has a crate, and is pretty well-trained in a lot of ways.

For reference, he looks a little like this:
