I keep having this recurring dream that I just stayed and waited at the vet with Addie's body for a little longer

And then she woke up and we went home

I'm secretly and stupidly paranoid every day that they "pretend" euthanized her so that they could do experiments on her, and sell her for cheap.

It's so gross but I am scared that could happen.

I honestly believe that vets and their staff really care about the pets we trust them with and wouldn't do anything inappropriate. I am sorry for your loss but remember the gentle soul she was while here and don't focus on what might have been. 🫂

@caccoon OK. I hope the tokens from your sweet Addie are safe and that you get them soon. I remember when my Misty, my cat, needed to be released from her pain and suffering. I was blindsided. It's almost like they remove a part of you, isn't it?

@Trav2024 the absence of them is so difficult. They cannot be replaced, you just have to get used to them not being there, while also appreciating and honouring who they were 💙
