My idol: Binky the Saint Bernard!
Hey good evening all! Snickers the Saint Bernard here barking that I’m glad the wind storms are finally over here. I’m no scaredy cat,er dog but I don’t like it when the wind blows and the house makes noises! Fortunately my Grammy (Mommy’s Mommy lol) came over for a visit earlier and brought me a distraction from the wind:

While I was chewing them off her feet, Grammy told me about her dogs that she used to foster waaaaaaaaaaay back in the 80s and 90s. She got into fostering large dogs and always had several in the house. It was always chaotic and practically everything in the house was fair game for them. One of the dogs in particular was especially naughty. His name was Binky and he was a giant Saint Bernard. Bigger than me! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Binky:
He was a VERY large frisky dog with an even larger fetish for shoes. In particular, Grammy’s brand brand new Reebok pump sneakers! They were all the rage back then and Grammy and Mommy both had huge collections of them. The most delicious sneaker ever created:
Binky couldn’t get enough of them and when he wasn’t sleeping, he was on the hunt for Grammy and Mommy’s new Reebok pumps to enjoy:
Grammy used to do lots and lots of aerobics and always wore her new Reebok pumps to the gym sockless. Here she is with her yummy new Reebok pumps on:
Whenever Grammy was getting dressed to go to her aerobics class, Binky would be waiting for a taste of her new Reeboks. She wouldn’t even get them laced at the table and he would be all over them:
When Grammy got home later in the evening, he would be waiting for her anxiously. As soon as she came thru the door, his jowls were wrapped around her hot juicy Reeboks. She would sit in her recliner and read a book or watch TV with her feet up and Binky would sniff and lick and chew those Reebok pumps for hours. Unfortunately he was only with Grammy and Mommy for about 4 years before he passed. These were actually the last pair of new Reebok pumps he ever ate:
Well Binky is definitely my new idol! I can only hope that someday I will come close to being the Sneaker Monster he was!
