All of my dogs were rescues. The first two I had were German shepherds and the last one I had was a Xolo aka Mexican hairless.
My German shepherds were amazing dogs. My Mexican hairless was as well, but he, as typical for the breed, was overly protective and obsessive with me and the kids and stuck to me like he was Velcroved against my leg.
I did look after my daughter’s mini Yorkshire terriers for almost two years while she was in Australia and Asia working. They were not as fun as having a large dog to be honest because they didn’t want to walk any further than the end of my driveway and they just yapped incessantly
