We have a harness for our big dog, if he tries to run after a squirrel, a cat, or another dog he will immediately be turned sideways and his plans thwarted. The lead attaches to the front near his chest and the harder he pulls the more it turns him. Maybe that would help?
@JamesBugman Yep I’ve one of those too. Works so well.
@Notladylike The other way would be to drive your doggies to an offleash dog park. Then you only need to walk a short distance with them. We have friends that do this. Offleash is way more fun for a dog anyway.
@JamesBugman I don’t take them to off leash dog parks. It’s not a great environment for training them and I don’t trust other people’s dogs. I do take them to the beach where they get to run and swim.
