Does my dog know about Hurricane Milton?

My Corgi mix Chloe, with whom I have spent close to every moment of the past ten years or so since we adopted each other is distressed about something. Anxious.

She’s staring out windows and pacing, and wanting reassurance by turns. Several times I’ve taken her outside and shown her there’s nothing out there threatening.

We’re in New Mexico, so we’re not likely to be affected directly.

I wondered if anyone else was experiencing this.
