Would you believe it takes me half an hour just to walk around the block with the dogs

Normally like a four minute walk, but they need to eat grass, say good morning to people, and do otherly doggy duties

I used to try to take my coonhound for my runs. It's not much of a run when you have to stop every three and a half inches to sniff something. Maybe the puppy would do better.

There's two foxes on our path that you can see trotting around sometimes. 🦊

See, that's just it... you aren't taking them for a walk, they are taking you😁

@Ontheroad exactly!! It's actually lovely and they make me appreciate things I wouldn't normally 💙

@caccoon My pup has long since passed, but I can remember all the times and little adventures we shared... our walks were always a time of peace, contentment, and joy.

@Ontheroad awww, yes 💙 they are a lovely bonding experience 😊 I love watching their curiosity and yeah, enjoying those quiet moments

Yes. I had a dog that had to stop at everything to smell or check it out. He would even see peoples lawn statues, and stop and stare at them like he was going to have to decide whether to attack them or not

@Jenny1234 that sounds familiar 🤣

My one is a neighbourhood surveyor and anytime there is something new (sign, bag, a discarded hoodie), she needs to be ultra cautious and analyze it from afar before going to see it
They just combine the walk with taking care of important business. Two birds with one stone stuff. Smart dogs!

And then they complain it takes so much time. 😐
