I like dogs

I don’t own one and have never owned one but I was just at my sister’s apartment and her dog seemed to notice that I was feeling afraid and worried. The dog came over and started licking my hand. I petted her a little and after I stopped, she moved her paw on top of my hand almost as if to say: “hey, why’d you stop petting me?!”

Every time I stopped, she kept doing that with her paw.

Im probably looking too deeply into it but it felt nice to be cool with the dog even though my mom was disappointed in me.

I didn’t feel like going over to the party because I knew my dad was gonna be there so I was worried. I went anyway just to see my sister. My mom made me feel like my fear was stupid but it felt like that dog understood. I eventually left hours before my dad arrived so I avoided that situation.
