When my ex left, it took Addie about a year and a half, or almost two years to trust me

I understand the Sadness you must of felt about how to help Addie. I had a newfoundland/ mastiff mix back when i divorced my first ex when i was not even 21. She had listened to his commands and his voice. When he was gone suddenly. She took it hard. She'd growl and ..honestly is lock myself in bedroom. Shes huge. I was tiny.
But i wanted so bad to help her. I loved her. One night after one the her growling and i retreated i remembered just kinda sitting on bedroom floor and just started crying and suddenly she was there nudging my face then just collapsed with her head on my lap. Almost like she was crying too. We were inseparable after that
