Good evening all! Snickers here barking that I have been waiting an eternity for mommy to FINALLY go to bed so I could sneak downstairs and post! Her name is Natalie, but whatever. Anyway, I am Snickers. I’m a big, fun loving, furry, drooly, chewy, Saint Bernard. Phew!! Thats a lot to get out!!!! BUT, I also have what mommy calls an “alter ego thingy”. See, I’m usually cool except that there is one thing that makes me go CA-raaAAzZyyy: SNEAKERS!!!! My favoritest dessert in the whole world! Reeboks and Nikes. The newer the better. Every time I think about them, or see or smell or taste one, I immediately turn into a big hungry SNEAKER MONSTER! Apparently I inherited this super power from my granddoggy Oliver. But that is an awesome story in itself! My favorite two times of the year are summer and fall, because that is prime time when all my family gets new sneakers! Fortunately for me, my Aunties and cousins are sneaker girls and all have lots and lots of delicious new Reeboks and Nikes hiding in their clothes just WAITING to be discovered! Guess I’m pretty spoiled! Well, just thought I would let you all in on some paw-someness that happened to me a couple days ago!
So mommy and me were visiting my Aunty and I picked up the smell of something yummy. I quietly followed the heavenly scent upstairs and to the guestroom. I couldn’t believe what I saw hiding by the bed:
Before I could even sniff them, Aunty grabbed them. Hmmph! Well, all week I have been dreaming out those soft delicious new purple leather Reeboks:
Well, a couple days ago I was napping, trying to stay out of the heat when I heard a commotion. Aunty came thru the door and into the doorway. It was then that I saw them:
Mmmmm AUNTY’S YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY NEW REEBOK SNEAKERS!!!!! I instantly turned into a big hungry sneaker monster and pounced right over to her feet:
Aunty fussed over my as I sniffed and licked her new Reeboks hungrily. As soon as she sat down, I trapped her and each Reebok disappeared into my slobbery jowls and I sunk my toofers into the soft leather toes and chewed. Aunty tried to get away, but I chased her all over the house until I finally ate those new Reeboks right off her feet:
After I wrestled them off, I chewed some more, then ran out into the backyard and settled down to enjoy them:
They were soooooo yummy and chewy and they squeaked and squished as I growled and snorted and ate them all up for yummy dessert:
So apparently Aunty is doggysitting me for the next couple weeks while mommy travels for work! OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY! That means that she must have brought more delicious new sneakers with her!!!!! Well, I have been chewing these new purple Reeboks non stop for the last couple days and I think I’m going to devour them tonight! Well, thats a wrap! Gotta go eat those Reeboks. Wish me luck that Aunty has some more yummy new sneakers for me these next couple weeks!!!
YAAAAAWWWWWNNNNN! Oh man, what a night! Stayed up waaaay to late eating Reeboks and sniffing out Aunty’s other new sneakers:
But fortunately it wasn’t all for not. I sniffed these yummy new Nikes out in her suitcase:
Mmmmmm slurp! My teeth are aching just thinking about all that soft juicy white Nike leather! But as much as I wanted to eat them, I couldn’t keep my eyes open and fell asleep next to them. I woke up later to the sound of Aunty getting dressed. Oh boy she had on her yummy chewy new Nikes!
I went right for her feet but she kept away. She said that I couldn’t eat her new Nikes right out of the box. She told me that she was going for a walk around the neighborhood and only after she got back, would her Nikes be fair game. Well, I went practically NUTSO waiting! It seemed like an eternity, but as soon as she was back in the house, I ate those delicious new Nikes right off her feet! It was nothing for me to chew them off:
After I got both Nikes, I licked them inside and out and drowned them in warm slimy Saint Bernard slobber:
A quick update all! (Sigh) well, no more purple Reeboks. I finished them off for a midnight snack! This is the last photo ever of them from earlier:
So I was sniffing around earlier in the guestroom and happened upon a suitcase that Aunty had not opened and unpacked. It smelled SUPER yummy and I can only dream that it’s full of more yummy new sneakers for me. Can’t WAIT til morning to go wrestle it open and have a look inside!!!!
