Due to my history in animal medicine, it looks like a hotspot to me. If you want to try the cheap fix first, purchase some Sulfadine to see if it solves the problem. If not, you need to make a vet visit so they can do a skin scrap, as it could be a multitude of skin infections, including mange.

You’d have to take him/her to a vet. 🤷🏻♀️ They test samples to find out if it’s due to mites or fungus or something else.
