Is something wrong with my dog? [I Own a Dog]

I’ve been around dogs my whole life so I think I’m pretty good a picking up what’s wrong with dogs and their behavior.

I’ve gotten this dog a few months ago and he’s about 7 is what the vet said.

However I noticed he sleeps all day. (Unless we go to the park or outside) He growls a lot if/when you move him. Sometimes even when you just pet him.

I was thinking maybe a stomach problem, but he eats food just fine and hasn’t thrown up or anything.

Is he just not use to us by now? Or is it his age? (I doubt though cause I’ve had dogs up to 12 years old that don’t sleep around as much as he does.

Not much to go on.
Having been around other dogs is helpful,
but dogs are individuals too.
He has a past - you got him at 7.
You've had him a couple months - has he been that way from the start?

We got a Husky from an abusive home. It took her a long time for her to trust me. She has favored Mrs. Budwick from day one. [It was a man that had abused her in her previous life] It's far better now - she still favors Mrs. Budwick, and that's fine.

He lived somewhere else for seven years. If you suspect something is wrong, take him to the vet. Otherwise, be more patient, IMO.

@Budwick true true. We did find him off the street all skinny and scared. No tag. No collar. No chip. So we took him in ourselves.
All we know is he doesn’t like loud noises. And he’s either aggressive or timid around other dogs.
Other than that he’s just super quite and sleeps most of the day. Unless I take him to the park and let him off leash then he gets hyper and runs around for like ten min.

I have great respect for that!
Did you have him checked out when you found him?

@Budwick took him to the vet. Got him shots and checked for a chip. Then I set up an appointment just to check on regular heath. That’s next week or so
Sadly my sister and I aren’t in speaking terms (I’ve reached out hundreds of times) and she’s a vet. But I doubt she’d be willing to look at him. :/

@londonbr1dge Sorry about Sis.
Sounds like you're headed in the right direction.
Good luck with the pup.
I'm a big dog lover and have BIG TIME respect for those that rescue dogs.
