I Love My Dog More Than Most People

My poor little pooch has had a bad time latly. Out for a walk a day or two ago and he snapped a nail... ouch.
Well to make a painful situation worse he has only went and done another one today, punch line is its the other foot. So my poor little pup now has two broken nails on tow different feet. Should i take the nails off for him or just leave him to it?

Depends, is your dog elderly? Why are the nails snapping? It’s ok to trim them back yourself in a healthy dog, but most dogs are fine because their nails naturally file down through walks on the pavement. If your dog has snapped two nails though, maybe get him vet checked, to rule out any other issues

@BalmyNites no not an kld dog he is only 3. I do cut them when they get long but iv left them a little long and think thats why they have snapped.

@Mrblue123 Ahh I see, well just be careful then, you know the vein runs through the nail

@BalmyNites yer i know. Dont cut to low or you catch the vein.
Iv always had dogs and can care for them pretty well, but just seeing my little pooch limping like he is makes me feel real bad for him.

@Mrblue123 If he's limping he’s in pain, so why don’t you just take him to the vets, it’s better to be on the safe side.
