I Absolutly Love My Dog

I'm feeling extra proud of her today. Paisley is a rescued American pitbull terrier mix. Unfortunately we live in a southern, rural area where dogs that look like her are usually used for fighting or chained up guard dogs, and so that's many local people's first impression of pitbull-type dogs. This has caused a lot of people to discriminate against her, say nasty things, and even threaten me, my fiancée, and our dogsitter.

She's also a certified therapy dog, ESA (I have PTSD), and a Canine Good Citizen. She is the polar opposite of what the media tells us pitbulls are like. Every negative stereotype is broken with everything she does, and she makes me very proud. She's helped me educate so many people and bridge the gap between the general public and what bully breeds truly are: normal dogs, but maybe even a little bit better. ❤️
