@SW-User She's a Chiweenie? Hadn't considered that. she's a really sweet and smart girl. Sweet unless you go near her food.

@katielass She's actually a one-of-a-kind dog. She is the sweetest most loving dog I've ever had. She's smart and knows a lot of words. I can walk her off leash and she minds. I can take food out of her mouth and she lets me without any resistance. I can be eating something and leave it laying close to her and go in another room and come back and she hasn't messed with it. I guess she's the best of both breeds. The Dachshund and the Chihuahua. She does bark loud and often. I can't seem to break her from that.
@SW-User That's something. Usually they cannot resist getting the food. Yeah, as for the barking, look at it this way no one will probably be able to get anywhere near your house without her letting you know. I have a Red Heeler that loves to bark even if it's just a car door shutting but no one will get near the house without my knowing. If you cant make them be quiet, use it to your advantage. lol

@katielass I just wish I can teach her to use her inside bark. Lol.
@SW-User This is what I've tried doing with the Schnauzer, whose bark is shrill. the heeler's bark is soft, loud but soft, if you know what i mean. I'll go to the Schnauzer and say shhhh quietly let's use our inside voice. I also do that when she sings. If I lower my voice she lowers hers.

@katielass She knows she shouldn't do it but she can't resist. When she barks inside she'll look at me like she did something wrong but yet she'll do it again. I guess that's stubborn Dachshund in her. I had a Chowsky when he barked all I had to do was open the window and say hush and he would stop barking and sit down.
@SW-User I know what you mean. My schnauzer is the same way. she steals food from the other two and knows it's wrong and i don't want her doing it but she can't resist. she eats only the good stuff and leaves the rest. then she looks at me with such a sweet face, all innocent like and my heart melts
