I live down a little cul-de-sac, and discovered my beautiful friendly fluffy cat Claude in a pool of blood on the side of the road next to the pavement. The driver hadn’t stopped. His injuries were horrific, and something I’ll never be able to put out of my mind. I rushed him to the vet, who told me that he’d been hit extremely hard, and that if he survived he would have life changing and neurological issues for the rest of his life. I made the awful decision to have him put to sleep, as I was heartbroken with how he was suffering. I’m sorry, but I won’t be posting anymore cat stories here, as I’m more upset than when people have died in my life. I can’t believe how heartless and cowardly someone has to be to drive like a lunatic down this quiet road, then drive off knowing exactly what they’d done. RIP Claude my lovely fluffy friendly cat 😢
