I think he’s becoming your cat and you don’t want to admit it ❤
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Jenny1234 I 💯% agree. He's being officially adopted by the little guy.

@Gibbon I love it!
Cigarguys · 41-45, C
@Gibbon I don't love him but he lives in my house so I take care of him, feed him and keep him safe. My anxiety is getting better but I still worry he's going to jump somewhere he shouldn't. Like the oven or dishwasher or washing machine. I post pics here to me deal with it.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Cigarguys Well that makes you his caregiver so he's going to form a bond with you wether you like it or not. You need to accept he may jump where he doesn't belong. All cats are different in actions and personality. My oldest never jumped on the counters once she got older even after a curtain climber as a kitten. The younger one spent many hours on them and the the top of the refrigerator.

@Gibbon I hope he out grows it. I worry he's going to jump on the stove when I'm cooking, the oven when I'm baking something or doing laundry. I don't want him to hurt himself. Like I said I care because he's in my house but I worry because he gets into everything he shouldn't. I don't want anything to happen to him

@Cigarguys in all my years with critters I believe they have an instinct about the oven and a hot stove. Never had an issue. No guarantee about the dryer. Keep the door closed.
Cigarguys · 41-45, C
@Gibbon I hope you are right. I do worry about that every time I use the stove or oven. He's in my house so I have to keep him safe
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Cigarguys has he jumped on the stove so far? Or up on the counter near the stove?
Cigarguys · 41-45, C
@Gibbon yes not when I'm using them of course, but he likes to check out anything new in the house. I try my best to keep him in Sissy's room when I cook. It's just something I worry about a lot
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Cigarguys yes they like to investigate new things. I honestly never had any concerns with any of my cats over the years with cooking. They seem to be quite aware of the heat danger.
