Do you have an indoor cat or one who likes to go out at night?
Mossy loves being indoors and doesn't venture any further than the garden. Do animals have bad memories that stay with them? She was in a bad way when she was found, I often thought her injuries were by human hands and not a cat fight. I don't believe that it is only elephants who never forget.

I had two cats here, (my daughter's), and one would do anything to sneak outside and the other would just sit in the doorway even if it was wide open.
I used to think it was a bad thing to have indoor cats, but after seeing Apollo be quite happy to view the outside from the front door, i realize cats come in all types🤷♀
