So, I'm pretty anal about my house

I like things where I like them. I like things to be practical. I do NOT like clutter.
Lately I've had to rearrange things, raise this, lower that, switch this out, move this to the left, that to the right, I'm having to get rid of things which has caused clutter til I get it all to the donation center....
This cat is making my life difficult....

My dogs don’t like change. Anytime I move things (especially furniture) around, they are acutely interested and are in the middle of it. I’m guessing cats are similar in that regard.

@BamPow He's exactly like that!! I had to move my plant from in front of the dining room window because he was using it as a stepping stone to climb onto the table. 🤬

@Tumbleweed I’m preparing for open heart surgery soon, and part of that has included preparing my recovery space. I’m basically moving into the spare bedroom and set up a recliner with a couple of TV’s. The fact that a chair got moved in there set them off. Several nights ago, I used it when there were two games I wanted to watch, and the dogs become borderline apoplectic and disoriented that I was in a different room than where they’re used to. I’ve started using the room a bit each day just for their benefit, and they’re over it now. It’s funny how we have to take our pets into account when making even mundane changes, but something seemingly small might mean the world to them.

@BamPow First of all, I wish you all the best with your surgery. My brother had open heart surgery when he was 40..
And you are correct, we definitely have to take them into consideration for even the smallest things.
I've wanted to move a particular chair in my living room but ever since I brought my cat home, he sits on the back of it waiting for me to come in the door so that one, I feel, has to stay put.

Stop! You had me at anal…🤣

For real though, if your cat is driving you nuts, get it a kitten. My vet told me that years ago when I had a cat that was being crazy. It was amazing. It worked. Plus, the cat wrestling matches in the evening were epic.

@3Dogmatic I had planned to take one of my daughter's kittens as well, same age. But then after dealing with this guy, I'm glad she fell in love with hers & decided she'd keep him!!

@Tumbleweed I took mine to the vet to get him some tranquilizers or cat downers. He was that bad. Tearing shit up and attacking us. When the vet told me to get another cat, he got cussed. He laughed and said he promised it would work. It did work. The dude actually knew about animals…. Who’d have thought…

How much has the cat broken?
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Tumbleweed Wild cat.
Tumbleweed · F
@Degbeme He's a Tasmanian. I have to keep the bathroom door shut now because his new obsession is getting in the bathtub sliding from end to end... 🙄
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Tumbleweed awww... he had his own water park. 🤭

Better than raising kids. Things are useful and you can sell them on. Kids are useless and always looking to sell you on

Nothing wrong with anal. Being anal. 😅
