My social worker

My social worker stopped by this morning to check on me and my sure I have what I need. The visit was good but as she was leaving she asked if I liked cats. I said I've never had one why. She said I needed a friend so she's going to get me a support cat. She said she'd help me take care of it and she'd be back by the end of the week.

So I guess I'm getting a cat

But cats don't support humans like say a dog does. Cats are selfish creatures, they expect humans to support them.

Presumably you could give it a try and give the cat back if you don't get on with it?

@JonUK41 I had a cat who was very caring. She seemed to know when I was tired, or feeling down and she would run circles around me till I sat in my recliner chair and let her get on my lap. It was her way of getting me to sit down & rest and love on her.
@JonUK41 It depends on the cat’s personality (and sometimes the breed). Some cats can be very loving and just what one needs in an emotional support animal.
