Need some advice

I have a kitten 16 weeks old he was last of his liter I did want to get two kittens my mates cat has kittens and I was wondering if it's best to get a boy or girl cat?
If I have two boys will they fight? What's best to do or does it not matter which I get?

We have two boys and two girls,all unrelated and don't have many issues to be honest.
