could you be so cruel?

....to kick your cat off your lap because you want to get up and eat leftover pizza?

Our cats don't really do that with me.

My boy will lie on my chest in bed at night - but I ultimately have to move him when my pain gets to be too much for me to stay on my back.
@HootyTheNightOwl i hear ya....mine might cuddle with me near my legs....but eventually i gotta move them/her...then she gets all pissy 😹
@beermeplease The other night, I turned onto my side while he was in the window and he came back again to lie on my side between my rib cage and my hip for about an hour until I couldn't take the pain of that any longer and had to change position.

That was the first time he'd ever done that since he mostly prefers to be on my chest (his "safe hiding place" from the dogs we had when we first got him). He remembers the exact spot he lay in and often still lies there today.

I feel bad having to move because he doesn't get much human interaction during the day since we got mean kitty - and now she attacks him if she even sees him trying to move from the bedroom, where he lives, to the kitchen where soon to be ex put his food dish this morning.

She's attacked him twice today and I just went in and fetched him out of the bedroom window and carried him to the kitchen so that he can eat.

I tried to tell soon to be ex that I'm scared that she will attack me one day (a friend recently had a cat attack their 2yo son - which opened the door for the talk). His answer was to suggest that we close her in his bedroom at the new place when he is working. We are not at the new place yet - and don't have a move in date.
