😅 I've tried similar with cats. The neighbor's cat has very strict boundaries, hates having his paws touched.
Once, and the paw was drawn in beneath him. Again, and I got a good bat..sans claws, because we're buddies.

@SethGreene531 yeah it all depends on their mood... and you just never know if they're cool with it or it's claw time. 😸
And they're all different... my last cat wouldn't let you touch his belly... my cat that I have now loves belly rubs. haha

The neighbor's comes for belly rubs, even still I'm nervous. The most I'll do is his side 😄
