I've been seeing kitties on my way home
Three days ago I was heading home from work , it was 3am.. I was about a mile from my street near a seasonal amusement park coming around a gentle corner on an otherwise dark and empty stretch of road when I notice three sets of eyes glowing in the street ahead.
As i got nearer i saw that it was Three cats, one adult and two younger kitties, probably 12 or 14 weeks, big kittens..
I slowed down and came up to them as they trotted off the road into a grassy area.
The mother took off but the kittens sat down in the grass watching me as i came to a stop..
I got out my flashlight and put down my window and started calling them but when I got out of the car they ran off and disappeared into the bushes..
I looked around and called but I couldn't find them..
I did see the mother kitty a bit farther away by some trees watching me but she ran off when I called her.
I was really hoping to be able to catch them all or at least the kittens and take them home.
I finally drove off because I couldn't find them but I turned around up the street and came back by and I saw the mother cat heading for the clump of bushes where the kittens had gone, no doubt to collect them and continue on..
That was Three days ago, last night i saw one of the cats on the side of the road again. Very near where I saw them originally and tonight I saw another a bit further up the road..
I stopped and called the kitty, she just sat there on the side of the street.. I tried to walk towards her but she ran off.. I saw her again as i drove away and stopped again but she ran away into the woods.
So now I've seen these cats three nights in a row.
I really would like to be able to bring one or all of them home, it's getting cold at night.
I hope they're safe and warm..
