I just learned that male calico cats live shorter life spans :(

My kitten is a male calico. They have XXY chromosomes, which creates Klinefelter syndrome and shortens their lives. 🥺 that’s also why 95% are born sterile.

@uncalled4 it is, that’s why they have XXY chromosomes. They’re a genetic defect.
