Do cats grow out of chewing on things? [I Have Cats]

My cats are about 7 months old and they are constantly chewing on ethernet cables, vinyl flooring, cardboard etc. Are they teething? Are they going to get tired of it?

Grab a couple of those little spray bottles at the dollar store. About the third time they get it with the water stream, they figure out they're in an area you don't want them.

A squirt gun does the same thing, but cheap ones tend to quit squirting well fairly soon.
