Do cats grow out of chewing on things? [I Have Cats]

My cats are about 7 months old and they are constantly chewing on ethernet cables, vinyl flooring, cardboard etc. Are they teething? Are they going to get tired of it?

Mine have mostly been scratchers, which I can control by clipping their nails.

@Harmonium1923 they are both overdue for that, too! Up until now it has been mainly the son-in-law or the vet doing the clipping, but the son-in-law feels bad that they associate his visits with nail-trimming. And with the virus he seldom visits anyway. I can sort of trim one of the cats. The other is more difficult and I think I may buy an unlimited plan from a pet store for her.

@Poppies Mine got used to it pretty quick. I sort of kneel over them, pet them a while to calm them down, get them used to holding their paws, and then do it pretty quickly.
