I Absolutely Adore Cats

Here is a poem I wrote to share with my fellow feline fans:

THE ENLIGHTENED ONE
Blessed is he, the Enlightened One
His spirit is free as he sits in the sun
meditating on serenity
O Tell me great guru
I need your advice
How can I do as you do
and have a great life?
I look into his eyes
and his gaze reassures.
His answer is simple:
He meows, then he purrs.
Yes, he sits in the sun
then he sleeps in the shade...
O graceful Enlightened One!
Cats have it made.
They don't drive
They don't hurry
They don't shop
They don't date
They don't vote
They don't worry
About health, looks or weight
They don't have insomnia
Or forget how to dream
They don't fret about trivia
Or lack self-esteem
So whatever my fate
I am sure of one fact
If I reincarnate...
I'll come back as a cat!
