Cats know you, they know about you. They know if you are smart. They know when your asking them something about them. My cat chestnut knows people watch her. She gets shy and tries to run away. She thinks if I can just run fast enough they will have to chase me. If I hide from the mirror I'll never have a bad hair day. 😃
Also cats are selective when they get close to you need to be a food truck vender to gain their trust lately. Lol
Make sure you don't let them throw up a hairball on your furniture. Just let them play at evening they will wind down. Don't try to hard to read my mind. I can't be seen as a human for I am a cat. 😺😺
