By now they're use to each others smell, now I think its time for them to see each other. But we're approaching this very carefully, after all the dog is an Akita, quite a lot bigger than him. So I figured I'd make a barrier at the door threshold with plexiglass or something and see how it goes.

@MellyMel22 My sisters bfs pit went nuts at xmas once when we tried to introduce them. Had to put Binx in my room upstairs and block the stairs. Dog would not calm down the entire night. Luckily Storm, my dads dog, is more disciplined
@MellyMel22 oh he does that too. He waits for me to pass through the door threshold before he pounces. Or waits for me to turn my back. If I stare at him as i'm walking away he won't budge. But I can't scold him, its too adorable
@JestAJesterOurs got me in the hall leaving my bedroom in the same spot. I used to hate getting up cause there was no light in the hall and she’d know every single time I was coming 😂
@MellyMel22 he's black, which means hes really hard to see at night. Lost count how many times I've kicked him, rolled over on top of him, or got locked in the bathroom. I once lost him and feared the worst. Looked outside for him, 10 minutes got a call from my brother who found him. I came inside and he was sitting on the black stove the entire fucking time we were calling him
@MellyMel22 yup but I love him to death. my sis thinks I'm weird for talking to him. you should see him now, he's still hyper, being a goof on his tower.
@JestAJesterWell of course you do. Lots of us talk to ourselves too. I used to talk to my brother’s dog and he listened haha.. Hopefully he doesn’t play attack you in your sleep. I used to keep our cat out of my room at night cause I didn’t trust her 😂
@MellyMel22 nah the worst he does his jump from the bed to anything in reach. He usually sleeps with me. Makes it hard to adjust when I need to though, so I don't always sleep well. Its especially funny when hes relaxing, because he is so dramatic. He makes these like moans or whining or whatever you wanna call it. Like the biggest most dramatic sigh
@MellyMel22 Other than my family, I'm the only person he really knows. Made it a point to give him attention all the time. Pets when I feed him, right before I leave for work, right as I get home. He even greets me with these cute little chirps. But I also leave him alone when he wants to be alone, thats important. He's gotta have his own space.
@JestAJesterYeah, they need it when they aren’t in the mood for company. That’s cute though, he’s like a baby greeting you back home.. He doesn’t have to know lots of people!
