Gonna introduce my cat to my dads dog, any tips?

By now they're use to each others smell, now I think its time for them to see each other. But we're approaching this very carefully, after all the dog is an Akita, quite a lot bigger than him. So I figured I'd make a barrier at the door threshold with plexiglass or something and see how it goes.

That’s a tricky one ! My old greyhound came home and bumped into our cat, the cat gave him a left hook and they became friends, suppose it will depend on how dog is with cats he sees on walks, if he goes mad be very careful
