Gonna introduce my cat to my dads dog, any tips?

By now they're use to each others smell, now I think its time for them to see each other. But we're approaching this very carefully, after all the dog is an Akita, quite a lot bigger than him. So I figured I'd make a barrier at the door threshold with plexiglass or something and see how it goes.

Let 'em meet under a door and get over initial excitement. When they meet face to face make sure the cat has a safe exit and maybe leash the dog and just repeat visits until they start to chill out.

@CountScrofula they've done that first part many times already. leash is a good idea. We thought too that under no circumstances are they to be allowed near each other without us in the vicinity
