Have you ever bought a gift
…that seemed perfect when purchased but when it comes to the time to give it, you stare at it bleakly, and can’t remember why you thought it was excellent?

@Girlyfriendcollecting I went through something similar. They didn’t like my gift choices, so I gave money instead. When they complained it wasn’t ENOUGH money, I stopped giving them gifts. At all.
One has to draw the line somewhere. Personally I believe receiving gifts gracefully is a part of simple good manners. Like the gift or not, I appreciate that they thought of me, used their time and money to get it.
But, in this case, my daughter loved it as I first thought she would, but then doubted.
