meanwhile my cats aren't allowed outside 😭

The heat is not good for the cat either. They don't dispense with body heat like we do. Be sure the cat has plenty of clean cool water outside to drink at all times. I don't know where you are but if you have the very high temperatures that the US has been having, that's very hard on animals.
turningthekeys · 31-35, F
@Elisbch yes we have very high temperatures. We always keep cool water out for her daily. And i feed her wet food a 3 times a week, and it's always out the fridge and she loves it hehe.
I just don't like her being in the backyard as it's significantly more hot there than our front yard. Our front yard has shade and some cool spots so I try to sneak her there when my mother isn't watching.

It sounds like you're taking good care of her with the situation you have. That Kitty's lucky she has you. 👍🏻😊. Keep fighting for your kitty! 😊

And the cat gravitates to your mum. Bloody typical of cats isn’t it?
What’s she worried about with the cat coming in?

@Oneofthestormboys that she will ruin the furniture

@turningthekeys Scratching post, or those cardboard things that they can dig their claws into.
You can train cats to only scratch where you allow them to scratch. Mine are fine now after some coaching sessions. Just got to recognise when they’re about to do it and reposition them to the right place x
