Pets sometimes pets do disgusting things but we love them still

Our dog threw up on the carpet and here is the nasty part ate her own vomit for some reason when we came back down to clean the mess. We love her to pieces but that’s just plain nasty. She is very docile overall and was sitting on my moms lap yesterday somehow she managed to fit onto the chair my mom was sitting in on the deck upstairs and be on my mothers lap like a tiny lap dog. She is medium large dog like 65 pounds. It was adorable and funny to see her on someone’s lap. Her name is Keke. She is very sweet and well she is not meant to be a guard dog. She would probably let the intruders come in and run away or want to be petted by them. She has a very pleasant disposition for a dog that was brought home from the pound. My sister doesn’t know what her early life was like but when she first got her she wouldn’t even bark. Now she barks quite a bit just to sound the alarm but for a dog she is quite harmless. Some dogs are more aggressive than others. But I will say this she may not be the smartest dog unlike our last dog who was very intelligent for a dog ( but had some aggression issues) and bit my face. I’ll take a not so intelligent and docile dog over very a smart and at times aggressive dog anyday. But our last dog would never have eaten his own vomit. He was cleaner in that respect. Oh well what can you do? I feel bad because it means she obviously is not feeling well. Both of our dogs seemed to have some kind of health issues. Levi had digestive issues and skin conditions. Keke catches ear infections very easily and other things. I see what people mean by having animals in a way is sort of like taking care of a child. We did and do the best we can for our pets including getting specialty food and medicine. I have loved both of our family dogs very much. Animals will love you for the simplest of reasons if you care for them and treat them well.
