Since when did people start just bringing their dogs in shops without even asking approval first

I live in the states. Not sure how it used to be everywhere else. I know back in 1994 when I was in a Burger King in London I couldn't believe my eyes when a lady brought her 2 big dogs in lol

When my son was little, he could not be around certain breeds because he had such bad allergies.

Recently and it is a pet peeve of mine! Especially in the grocery store or where food is served.
My sister stepped in poo in the isle at a Home depot. 😡

I thought they had to be service dogs

@lissah Supposed to be a service dog if it’s a restaurant or store that sells food. So many will try to say it’s a service dog when the animal obviously is not even trained.

@cherokeepatti yeah i seen one in a restaurant a while back. She had it in a baby stroller. It definitely wasnt a service dog even tho the woman insisted that it was.

@lissah There is one restaurant here that is very popular and crowded most of the time. They put a sign on their door that no dogs were allowed. Someone will likely sue them if they keep that sign up there. But too many people were doing it and there are people who are allergic to dogs to the point it’ll make them sick to be near them…I worked with a woman who was going through a lot of symptoms and she finally went to see a doctor and he tested her and found out she was allergic to her pet poodle. She had to give it up.

Thank heavens this trend didn't come here yet. Neither to restaurants and cafés, unlike in some other countries I've been to. Gross.
Only seeing eye dogs are allowed in stores in Canada. I don't know the rules about restaurants but would expect the same there.
