My cat was clawing at his eye that had been surgically closed
What a mess. it was so scary!
He was pretty successful in opening up part of it, and I had to rush home from work and get him to the vet.
Anyways, they were able to flush his eye and they think that maybe some of the packing had come loose and was irritating him. The vet said it was actually a good thing that there was part opening because if it wasn’t opened, they wouldn’t have been able to flush it out.
He’s never done this before. he never touches his eye.
Anyways, they’re not going to sew it back together at least not right now. He’s on antibiotics twice a day until next Thursday when I take him back for a follow up visit and then they will see from there if anything else needs to be done.
They think it will just close up on its own.
I won’t be posting pictures of it because it’s quite disturbing looking.
