Does your pet always know when you are taking them to the vet?

A vet mentioned once that animals (especially dogs) can smell death inside and outside of the vets room because of the pets that are euthanised. I don't know how true this is but it makes sense.

He knows the difference between being taken out or being picked up 'for fun' or 'for a good reason', so vet time or bath time can be challenging.
If a human ever behaved towards me the way Archie behaves when he knows it's vet or bath time there would be a serious fall out 🤣 but Archie gets away with anything cos i love him to bits, the evil little git! 😁
