Question for dog owners.

Do you consider yourself the Mother/Father of your dog? If your dog has pups do you consider yourself Grandma/Grandpa to those pups? I know they are only dogs but they are family so my answer is yes to both questions.

I don’t consider my dog Chloe as my child, possibly because she is a rescue and was grown when we met.

I’d say the relationship is more like siblings. Close to 15 yrs together and I rely on her as much as she relies on me. We respect each other’s boundaries, and live in harmony. I love dogs because they ARE dogs, forgiving, loyal, emotionally sympathetic. I don’t want to make her human; she’s much better than that.
