How do you get past the guilt of putting your beloved dog down?

He wagged his tail as the vet was injecting him and I was holding him, singing and crying telling him he’s my good boy. I feel like a traitor and murderer.

i know your pain as i have had bird dogs and beagles most of my life.they are buryed beside my back steps and every time i go out that door to my garden and shed i stop talk to them and shed a few tears.the pain will last for ever but is less as time passes but never goes away.its normal and its good remember them.i hope you have some pics' of the dog and keep them where you can see them constantly.i hope you have a new dog and so if not try to get another one as soon as you can what kind of dog was it ?
Thanks…a pit bull @beaglehuntee
