It was Mewhem in my house last night

When at 2am this lovely beauty @NegemJenny1234cat must’ve dipped into far too much catnip and was off the walls. Literally.

Played so hard with his fav spinning toy he smashed it into a wall hanging I’d had standing on my floor waiting to be hung up, scared the life out of himself then jumped on the nearby credenza and knocked all my pictures down

Literally thought people broke into my house

Cats can be amazing. Years before I had adopted my own cat I rented the top floor of a Victorian from an older friend.

She had a senior ginger cat who was like a little old man. He decided he liked me, and I would leave the latch off my flat door so he could come in.

At night he would sometimes climb onto my bed to cuddle. One night he brought me a "gift" and dropped it on my pillow—a dead mouse.

Except it wasn’t dead. 😳

Waiting for praise, the cat was clearly shocked when the mouse jumped up and I began yelling.

To his credit, the cat, despite his age, was able to ré-catch the mouse, and take it downstairs to his owner. Thus ended the nightly rendezvous.

But I did make time to play with him after work. 😸
