Does anyone else tell their pets to be good when they leave or is it just me

Absolutely- be good, have a nice day, I’ll see you soon. And when I had two dogs I would tell them which one of them was in charge. Now if I’m leaving the room and a person is in the room with my dog I’ll tell them who is in charge.
