@SW-User Parakeets are social creatures. They enjoy being around other birds. They are also social with me. I can talk to the female Kiwi and chatter with her and she’ll start chattering back like it makes her happy. She’s learned a few words and if she really wants to tell me something she’ll repeat it several times until I understand. She has the word MUSIC down really good and sometimes tells me to PLAY MUSIC so I do. And one time I left the radio on when I was going for half a day to the discount stores. When I came home I asked the birds what they did all day and Kiwi shouted “Music!” 😂 I am tone deaf but the females don’t always talk as clearly as the males and they usually don’t talk as much but one I had named Blondie could talk my ear off after her mate died and she learned she could ask for celery without him putting it in her mouth for her when I gave him some.
