I Guess Boo-Boo Is Wanting Attention, He’s Thrown A Bell Off The Top Of His Cage…His Way Of Making Me Get Up & Walk Over & Pick It Up…

I put several bells on top for him to throw. He also likes it if I ring them when I pick them up.

Budgies are the funniest little characters. I had one once who was in love with a bell but hated its twin (even though they looked exactly alike). And another would summersault down the side of her cage. 🤭

@Colonelmustardseed A few years ago Boo-Boo would talk to one of his brass bells that was hanging down by a string. He even named that bell. One day I heard him saying “What are you doing Bip-Bip?” And heard him calling it by name several times. So I walked over to the cage one day and said “Boo-Boo I don’t see Bip-Bip. Where is Bip-Bip?” He scooted over to the bell and pecked it and said “Here”. I did this another time with the same result. 😂 And If I say Bip-Bip like any person would he will correct me, you have to say it quickly. Bip-Bip like it is the same word and not two words.
@cherokeepatti That’s so precious. 🥺

@Colonelmustardseed He gave us names too. My name is “Get in there” because I am the only person to catch them and put them in their cages. I heard them say it when I was coming inside one afternoon after shopping. But they’ll say it when I am still in bed and Boo-Boo wants me to wake up and come to the living room. They call the boy “Are you OK?” Because he says that quite a bit.
