Boo-Boo Needs To Take A Nap….

He woke me up at 3:30 this morning chattering away. Fortunately he kept his volume way down low but with parakeets their voices travel even on low volume. I didn’t go back to sleep and played Solitaire on my phone and then used the IPad till I got up about 7:00. Boo-Boo turned up the volume, of course when I walked into the living room. I had breakfast and stayed in the living room for over 2 hours till I walked into the bathroom and then Boo-Boo chirped loudly about 10 minutes till I came back into the living room…his way of telling me to come back. . He doesn’t want me to go into my room & stay. He hasn’t stopped chattering for over a few minutes since he woke me up this morning. I think he takes it personally if I am at home and stay secluded in my room. I have been playing music for the birds this afternoon and may sneak back into my room and let him try to go to sleep.

@FreestyleArt Last house cat I had would wait till I woke up to go to the bathroom and then steal the warm spot where I had laid near the middle of the bed. Couldn’t get her to move either. I’d nudge her and tell her to move and she’d make this noise and dig her claws into the mattress. I’d end up sleeping the last hour or so near the edge of the bed till my alarm clock went off. She did it every day for an over a year.

One of mine does that. I can hear her at odd hours of the night chattering quietly. I wonder if the other two get annoyed by it lol.

@Tobasco He waited till 4:30 this morning and did it for about 30 minutes before stopping.
We used to put a towel over the cage when we had a parakeet to shut them up.

@IndianaJoes He was giving his best effort to tone it down. I just let him be. It’s a sweet sound when he does that.
