@Musicman Nope, I disagree. Maybe a couple of years to get mandatory counseling at the most, then monitor him. He might be a serial killer in the making. We have bigger fish to fry.

@TexChik There was a horse slasher in Oklahoma when I was young. He’d slash horses that were in pastures cutting them up badly and did it several times before he was finally caught. He was a teen and they put him in a mental health facility. When he was an adult they freed him and it didn’t take long till the slashing stated again. Police knew who to look for. Believe that he went to prison after that

@DIABLISS Trust me, it's not. And you can shove your little red face. In this country, if you kill a child and are an illegal alien, you get cashless bail. But if you are the leader of the opposing political party that is out of power...you are guilty until proven innocent of anything they say.

@DIABLISS The difference between a human and an animal is vast. While prison time for cruelty to animals might happen it is not murder in the eyes of the law.

@TexChik the serial killers of the world agree on a few facts...and they should know. Latch key kids are alone too much and have no one is questioning their behavior....Porn too early in life deranges a young person's perception of the opposite sex and sex period...and killing of small animals is just a stepping stone. All three of these together equals serial killer

he needs to be punished correctly and should be forced to see a shrink for a very long time.

first they need to send him to a nice safe luny bin for young people so they can assess just what the hell is wrong with him. maybe he hears voices or the Devil made him do it. The need to find out Just How Sick he is. Maybe he is in need of medicine. maybe he just needs therapy. maybe he was doing drugs and thought the little critters were trying to eat him.

after this determining therapy, he can have a life or be locked away and the key thrown away

@TexChik But all of those people SHOULD BE PUNISHED. Four wrongs don't make a right! did you know he took the guinea pig with him and murdered it in the woods. He strangled STRANGLED the bunny in the store and then killed three other animals. Imagine how f'd up you would have to be in order to strangle a bunny and then kidnap his little guinea pig friend and take it to the woods and murder it?!!!!
