Dog behaviour
When I first got Bruno he wasn't neutered.
He met a french bulldog and they got on really well. Running around and playing together.
At some point even humping each other.
But on another occasion we were introduced to another lady who has a greyhound.
He was off the lead as was Bruno and they all played together. In fact the grey hound was a little left out since the bulldog and boston play in a very similar way.
I didn't see them for ages then Bruno had his op, he was fine with the bull dog.
The following time both dogs were together but the greyhound got really nasty with Bruno.
That day she said the dog was misbehaving and she kept her dog on the lead while pulling him away.
I suspect it could be because Bruno tries to act dominant while the owner keeps the greyhound on the lead, maybe he feels threatened.
Today I let Bruno off the lead and he saw a golden retriever, he went over and they played together which was nice.
Then I noticed the other women the grey hound was suddenly being pulled and put on a lead while the other woman called to her French bull dog.
As I approached to say hi, Bruno came over.
All was very civil until the woman pulled the greyhound closer to her.
She said shes not letting him play because he was naughty yesterday... (I don't think he remembers what he did yesterday tbh)
Anyways Bruno sniffed him, he sniffed Bruno, all was well.
Suddenly the greyhound started snarling, then Bruno went to mount him, I called him off but the greyhound wasn't backing down, the French bulldog came over so I pulled Bruno back, in an attempt to stop the fight and get him to settle.
The French bull dog just kept on jumping up at me so I couldn't pick the lead up off the floor.
It was all very loud and very aggressive and the more the owner of the fb kept shouting at her dog the more he ran towards us and kept jumping.
Bruno and the greyhound were foaming and snarling it was horrible.
At one point I think he was so threatened he nipped the side of my face which caused me to bleed and he headbutted my nose.
The woman of the fb finally gave me my lead.
The owner of the grey hound said to me "it's not good to pick your dog up".
And I walked off.
Stressed out Bruno couldn't p**p properly.
I really wanted to give her a piece of my mind, but I'll swerve them next time.
He's now in his crate having a time out.
My face will survive, its a little scrape.
